Buying a Boat
Almost everyone can find a boat that will fit not only your planned
activity but also your budget. Whether you buy a new boat of a used boat
it is important to find the right boat for your water sports enjoyment.
After you decide what activities you want to enjoy while boating and
what types of water conditions you will be boating in you can start to
narrow your choices. Then compare price, design and construction as well
as performance, and trailer ability before making final decision. I
would always recommend taking a test ride before making any purchase.
Many boats make look great in the showroom but may not perform well
under real life conditions. Even if the new boat showroom can not
arrange for a test ride, ask for the names of a few people who have
purchased similar models with the same power plant. Make a few phone
calls. Boat owners are usually very eager to talk about their vessels.
Most will tell you everything you want to know (good and bad). You will
get the info you need and information sometimes not available from the
dealer. You may even get an invite to go out for a boat ride. I have

Many of these vessels can be used for a variety of activities while
others are highly specialized. As with most purchases a little research
and leg work up front will result in an educated investment that will
enhance your love of boating. |
