Desert Shore Houseboats has been manufacturing houseboats in the Salt Lake City, Utah metropolitan area since 1994. Because it is the only manufacturer of high-end luxury houseboats located west of the Mississippi, Desert Shore has evolved independently of the industry in general. This isolation has led to the evolution of an exclusive hull design and innovative floor plans suited to the house boating style of the West.

Desert Shore's principle market area is Lake Powell, Lake Mead, Lake Havasu, and the reservoirs of the arid southwest.

Desert Shore Houseboats constructs its boats to comply with ABYC and Coast Guard standards, as they apply to houseboats. All boats incorporate an all aluminum Tunnel-Hull design that is unique to the houseboat industry. This hull concept provides the stability and safety that western house boaters demand, while accommodating the amenities they have come to expect, such as central air heating and air conditioning, cuddy cabins, and liberal hull storage.

Desert Shore boats are custom built to order.  Available beam widths are 16' to 22' with any length, varying from 55' to 100'.
